  • Browser extension activity - when you use the extension to save content

What We DON'T Do

3. Browser Extension Data Collection

Our Chrome extension only collects data when you explicitly choose to save content:

  • Page content extraction - Only when you click "Add to Literature Review"
  • Authentication - Session cookies to keep you logged in
  • Settings - Your extension preferences stored locally
The extension does NOT:
  • Monitor your browsing activity
  • Collect data from pages you don't choose to save
  • Access personal information from other websites
  • Track which websites you visit

  • Primary storage - Secure servers hosted by our service provider
  • Database encryption - All data encrypted at rest
  • Transmission security - All communications encrypted with HTTPS/TLS

  • OpenRouter API - For AI analysis of research content (content is processed but not stored by them)
  • Google OAuth - If you choose to sign in with Google (only for authentication)
  • Hosting provider - For secure server infrastructure
